兄のカフェ「abeki」に新しいオリジナルグラスが仲間入りしました。
このグラスは菅原工芸硝子さんと「abeki」の共同開発によるものです。
試行錯誤しながらつくった甲斐があって、まるでジュエリーのような美しい仕上がりになりました。
「abeki」は、教会のようなほどよい緊張感と温かさのある空間をコンセプトにしていることから、今回のグラス制作にあたって、聖書の中から「カナの婚礼」という話にインスピレーションを得たといいます。
ある結婚式でイエスが水をワインに変えた奇跡で知られるこの逸話、その祝宴の場でワインを注がれて参列者へ運ばれたであろう架空のグラスを想像してかたちにしました。
「abeki」のテーブルウェアは、このグラスをもって、カップ、ソーサー、カトラリー、すべてオリジナルでコンプリートしたようです。店内ではよりオリジナルな空気感の中でお過ごしいただけると思います。
購入も、「abeki」店頭か「B・B・B POTTERS（スリービーポッターズ）」にて可能とのこと。
なかなか外出しづらいご時世ですので、手元に置いてステイホームのお供にしても良いかもしれません。

My brother’s cafe “abeki” has released a new original glass.
This glass was developed in collaboration with Sugahara Glassworks Inc. and “abeki”.
As a result of trial and error, the glass is beautiful as a jewel.
The concept of “abeki” is to create a space with moderate tension and warmth like a church, so the story of “The Wedding at Cana” from the Bible was the inspiration for the glassware.
The story is known as a miracle Jesus turning water into wine at a wedding ceremony. “abeki”‘s owner imagined the imaginary glass that would have been poured out and carried to the attendees at the feast.
The tableware of “abeki” seems to have been completed with these glasses, including cups, saucers and cutlery, all original. I think you can spend your time in the cafe in a more original atmosphere.
You can purchase the glasses at “abeki” or at “B-B-B POTTERS”.
It’s hard to go out in these days, so it’s good to have it with you for enriching your time at home.
